Bloomfield is a thriving town located about 18 miles from New York City. The town has approximately 48,000 residents. The community enjoys many beautiful parks.There are plenty of small shops and restaurants nearby. Because of its close proximity to New York the residents enjoy an easy commute.
Bloomfield's education system is strong. There are nine Elementary schools including Berkeley, Brookdale, Carteret, Demarest, Fairview, Forest Glen, Franklin, Oak View and Watsessing Elementary School.Middle Schools include, Bloomfield Middle School, home of the Bengals. This school offers great after school programs, such as the Builder's Club, as well as various volunteer programs. With just over 1800 students, Bloomfield High School houses students in grades nine through twelve. Bloomfield is also home to Bloomfield College.
